He said previously he loves London so I imagine he'll leave at some point.

The lads been out with a 4 month quad lay off which is notorious for impacting players from then on in - and since then he's picked up 2 further injuries.

Add in two hamstring injuries last season its a pattern that suggests he'll be getting muscle injuries going forward.

£70 million and SELL.
I mean he loves Sheffield too, is he gonna move back to Sheff Utd?

At the moment he is happy at Everton but I imagine that if Arsenal do push hard for him this summer then he may want to go. That does not mean ‘his heart is already in london’

He’s had bad luck with injuries this season but isn’t suddenly injury prone. It’s what happens when you don’t get a pre-season, aren’t able to train between playing games at the start of the season - just constantly playing catch up

DCL isn't a top quality striker though.

It's not in the same ball park loss as us losing Lukaku or Leicester losing Vardy eventually.

I would rather us look oversea's but you have Abraham who's doing well at Roma and is only young, Ivan Toney has 6 goals in the PL this season at a lesser club in Brentford.

I wouldn't be concerned losing DCL if we can bring in a good CF replacement and start getting more goals from out wide/attacking midfield i.e. Gray/Richarlison/Alli becoming more prolific again.
Sell DCL because he isn't a top striker but:
Bring in Abraham cause he is young (younger than DCL by 6 months and has played at clubs with better players around him and still been outscored by DCL),
or
Ivan Toney who has 6 goals in 21 games and is older than DCL.

Thought the issue was that you wanted a "top striker".

The business model unfortunately predicates that we have to sell at some point. DCL and Richarlison will not stay with us until retirement and we couldn’t even afford them to. Both sides know that’s the deal, it’s just a matter of when, but it won’t stop people getting upset about the prospect of one of our players ever leaving us.

You can offer a starting spot upfront playing every week in the premier league and you’d have a kick of very good strikers from the championship and abroad who would jump at the chance. Just because we’ve wasted money in the past on the likes of Tosun and Niasse doesn’t mean we can’t find a good striker ever again. Lukaku left Chelsea so he could play first team football.

I’m sure if we sold DCL and Richarlison at some point Frank could throw the money and first team football at whatever Stirling prospect he wanted and they’d probably bite his hand off if they’re not playing first team at a CL club week in week out already.

What you'll find is the same people who bang on about signing young players with "sell on value" are the first to moan when we sell a good player for a big profit lol ?‍♂️

The reality is FFP means we have to sell players at big profits to reinvest.

Leicester sold Mahrez and reinvested the money to then sell Maguire/Chillwell to reinvest that money to bring in Tielemans etc.

Thats the way it is for clubs like us.

DCL - signed for £1.5 million and sold for say £70 million is exactly what we need to do providing we bring in 3-4 good players and not spunk the money like we did with the money we got for Lukaku/Gana/Stones.

The Arsenal rumors are completely fabricated, there was a mention of an Arsenal game from years ago, before he even joined us and that was it, he was Arsenal bound. Now that’s not saying he won’t go to Arsenal in the summer if we accept a bid, but it certainly doesn’t say he wants to get out of here.

Sorry, I have to disagree.

Southgate sussed him out pretty quickly and dropped him from the Ingerland team, looking likely to never return,

He is mate he is. He's probably worse than Iwobi to be honest, because at least Wobi doesn't constantly cost us goals with his stupid mistakes and being a general hindrance to the team. They both need bombing out of the club at our earliest convenience.

I'm afraid he is

He can look competent, as he did in early games under Carlo, but the tactics have to be built to suit his game. Needs a number 6 to sit on his toes as he is prone to getting dragged out of position. Team has to sit off and play deep as he is slow and liable to runs in behind. Not good enough on the ball to play possession football or pass it out from the back, so we need to attack on the counter or play direct to the big man.

Players like Michael Keane, in a system like that, can head the ball clear and make blocks for eternity and suddenly look like a decent player. But players like that are incredibly limiting if they can't play any other way.

Honestly the amount of times we're trying to play a high line, the ball is cleared to Big Mik and, rather than bring it down on his chest and recycle the ball back to the GK or midfield, he aimlessly puts his head through it into the centre circle, and the opposition collect it and hit on the counter... does my swede in
Admittedly I’ve not watched much of us since Ancelotti went.

I’ll take your word for it!

Name strikers of their age & thier record we will have to outlay for them with the same records- both our internationals

I leave Richie out of this as I'd love him to stay, I would with DCL too but I really thought with the prices bandied about of what he's worth we may have have sold and gone for the unsettled Martial and banked a fair few bob. Similar age-ish, similar records, Martial slightly ahead.

We found them both the first time. We can find replacements. Leicester found Vardy, Villa found Watkins, Wolves got Jimenez. There’s players out there who can play upfront for Everton. We shouldn’t have this fear of player turn over.

Sell Calvert-Lewin and spread the goals, worked out GREAT for us last time.

I mean his back up is Cenk Tosun and Rondon, yet people wanna sell him and attempt to replace him.

Every player has their price. If a bid too good to turn down comes in we will sell him. Liverpool sold Coutinho and ended up far better, every team on the planet at some point has sold their better players.

Calvert-Lewin isn’t going to stay here for his entire career. Players just don’t do that in this day and age.

Yes sell them only if we can purchase anything better than them - you mentioned arch he came from mom league football ages ago .,....

Arsenal are desperate for a striker they found no one .,...
