But surely the managers set the training plans etc and the warm ups. They dont just pick the teams.
We have had 6 managers in the last few years, are you telling me they all came in and didn't change any of the training plans which are apparently "stone age"?
You've said yourself, benitez sacked many and brought his own in, yet we still had ridiculous injuries last season, including DCL being rushed back, by benitez and his fitness guy.
This pre season, we have done allright generally. Dcl and Gray missed a game as a precaution but both then played the next game fine. We still don't really know much about DCL now in regards as to what sort of injury it is. It might have had nothing to do with conditioning/fitness and might have just been an overstretch, which happens.
Right enough
@Marius57, there are many factors surrounding injuries, which are, of course, all part of the game.
However, Everton appear to have so many training ground injuries These are in addition to injuries suffered during warm ups. So many of them are muscle injuries. I don't know if this is correct, but we appear to have more, if you like, self inflicted injuries, in comparison to injuries suffered during games. If not, the ratio seems unacceptably high.
A question for somebody far more knowledgeable than myself, has this phenomena worsened since we have been at Finch Farm? There have been far too many managers and coaches and trainers and medical staff with different techniques for this to be now merely coincidence. FF is the only constant.
A bit like our injury record. Constantly sodding abysmal.
