Poor Dom. Did nobody tell him that the millions he "earns" kicking a ball were partly compensation for the loss of freedoms typically enjoyed by the local Tesco checkout boy?
Obviously some people will slate you for this but there’s at least an element of truth to it.
At the end of the day he is just a human. I’ve made this point about players generally lots of time, they aren’t robots, they have feelings, things affected them etc. The problem is that once you start saying ‘I’m just a normal person I’m no different to you’ it highlights the fact that all of us ‘normal’ people have days when we just can’t be arsed in work, and we do get distracted by outside interests. You can’t really simultaneously argue that the photoshoots, interviews, interest in fashion and everything don’t affect his performances
and that he’s just a normal bloke exactly like us, because most of our efforts in work would definitely be affected if we were going to be on the cover of GQ.
