I don't think it's at all the "I'm too good to be here". He's a top professional player DCL.

He was absolutely dreadful tonight again no doubt about that. He's not fit, he's lacking on confidence because he hasn't scored for ages and he's not trusting his body to full pelt. He's fit, but he's miles off being match fit.

Performances like tonight aren't acceptable though, it isn't good enough for what we desperately need right now.

To do the skirt thing and the smooth faced shaving adverts is all well and good if you are decent on the pitch. Beckham could get away with it, DCL can't. It sort of looks daft. Nothing un PC about it.
