…..as somebody who called for his promotion to the first team after watching his debut for U23s, as somebody who argued with ludicrous posters who called DCL a ‘Championship player’ & as somebody who challenged those who suggested a top club would never be interested in him I am now very concerned about his long-term robustness.

i remember suggesting we sell James McCarthy when his stock was high following a number of hamstring injuries & I’m of a view that if DCL has a run of good form between now and the end of the season we should cash-in.

I’m very nervous of big muscle injuries and this one must be very severe.
Especially with the pacey physical nature of his playing style. It’s a worry in such a young player.

Why not?
We have sod all to spend (allegedly)
Someone has to go to raise money
4 most likely...

Richarlison
Digne
DCL
Pickford

The dead wood will still be stinking the place out come summer
????
He isn't even fit yet for one for two he won't be at the height of his value this window or in the summer because he won't have played a full season. Lastly if Richy is off next summer we can't sell both of our main goal scorers in one window it would be insane. Especially when you look at out inability to replace Rom for years

I see what you are saying we don't know how he's going to return from such a tricky injury. But I don't think selling him next summer would be wise. Two reasons if Richy is off next summer as I except selling him and DCL in one window would be a huge gamble because they are our main goal scorers and we struggled to replace Rom for year's. Second he won't be at the height of his value because he will have missed at least half of the season. Better to wait until he's had a clear season and he can get twenty goals hopefully and then cash in.

Thought he was solo training couple weeks ago, sure that's what he said when he was on Sky sports. I have this paranoid thought and its similar to the Rooney situation and he was only allowed to train by himself despite being fully fit for contact just so he could be sold Utd in the transfer window.

….the point I’m making is I fear he won’t have a clear season with this type of injury.
