I get he’s got flaws, hoping he irons them out with time as he’s still got time. The pile on you’d think we’d spent the season playing with Beattie or a 2011 Saha. He looks a fantastic lad off the pitch highlighted by his celebration for England, stop trying to batter our players for not being Harry Kane.

We only saw how hard it is to find a good striker in this league (which DCL has mainly been for the past 18 months) when we sold Lukaku. Some of the dross that clubs have wasted money on is mad, and strikers tend to develop later on (Bamford, Ings, Vardy, Antonio, Raul Jimenez), at 23/24 were going nowhere fast with their careers as strikers. He does need to work on 1 on 1’s, and scoring goals from half chances, was very poor last night but stop wetting the bed about ‘poncy pictures’.

DCL has never taken a penalty for Everton outside of penalty shoot outs.

So it's still a penalty then isn't it? And he's scored penalties for England.

Why I don't like the penalties stuff, is he could go to Spurs, take and score the pens Kane has, while Kane could be here, not take them (as Sigurdsson would continue too) and there would be about a 10 goal swing. They are the same players, but Kane's record would look way inferior to DCL's which would be stupid.

Yer that's for us.

Again pal, not arsed what his pen record was for Swansea, prior to this season he's missed almost half of his pens for us, even now 7 from 10 isn't great

It's not about whether you or me are bothered about it though. It's just saying, if you look at Sigurdsson's record on pens across his career, it's very good. Thats why he takes the penalties, not because DCL is bad at them (when he's scored every penalty he has taken).

Top man, delighted he’s our centre forward and the least of our troubles. Going to miss chances, if we start creating as many as we did last night on a regular basis, he’ll score enough goals.

Missed chances by DCL and Richarlison have cost us many a game this season but they're still young 24 and 23 and learning. At least they're getting into positions to take the chances.

No! no more time! sick of this crap, we're trying to do something here, not just provide practice matches for someone who is not up to scratch. How many more seasons do we write off as training seasons for Dom?
