I’ve made it clear from day one I’m not a lover of DCL but the fact he plays for Everton means I’ll always want him to bang in 5 a game. I wouldn’t lose any sleep at all if he was sold and I’ve said this last season and season before etc. I don’t like his attitude in games. If he isn’t getting a ball six yards in front of goal he offers nothing to this team. Richie puts himself about, defends for the team and at least is a week on week team player. I believe Dom is the type that is happy to score in a 2-1 defeat. His ego off the pitch with all his poncy pictures is now worse with all his England pictures.
I don’t think there’s any harm at all in sticking him on the bench next game and giving him a 30 minute burst.

If you look at our goal a great move all round DCL slid in just fractionally missed it, but had the nous to get back onside like lightning fast otherwise that goal would have been given offside .....
Both of our strikers should have scored two each last night Rhico could and should have had a hattrick.....but you have to blame DCL you were not on the forum thread early on in the season when he was on fire with a goood midfield?
So our defeat was all his fault I find that pathetic by not just you but others jumping on the bandwagon......when another striker missed more chances ......

That's a really good point.

Dom doesn't take penalties but he gets us a lot of them...maybe he should be taking our penalties to bump his goalscoring figures up.

It's not a great argument that he's scored 14 goals without penalties. We've already established that he's crap at one on one situations and penalties are the ultimate one on one situations.

Fact is if he had scored just one of the many chances he missed last night we would have won.

If he'd just finished his one on ones there, we'd have won comfortably. 20% of what I ask is that he's there to miss them (which he was) and the other 80% is he scores the majority of them, like the elite strikers such as Kane and Lukaku do with their eyes closed.

Unfortunately, I'd back Olsen to finish more one-on-ones given the same chances, so this has to be what DCL works on over the next 6 months. It's not a little crease he needs to iron out, it's quite obviously a pretty major issue. Hopefully he does.

We also have to be able to drop him in these runs of form from next season onwards. We will be needing another striker option if he's going to continue with these very long hot and cold patches.

Im afraid it's nothing as exciting as that. Fatigue after a long day at work mixed with a disappointing result it's my tonic!
