I've stated this before but I think his drought of goals can be attributed to our style of play recently in the beginning of the season we were banging significantly more crosses and now we're reliant on catching the opposition on the break and his one on one game is lacking. I'm sure the absence of a reprieve is also a factor. Dude needs a break

....he took the penalties successfully for England Youth & they tend to be top left hand corner. I think he’s also scored one for the full England team.

I’d actually prefer him to be taking our penalties, Sigurdsson tries to be too clever for my liking. No need to make a simple situation complicated (looking one way and putting the ball the other side).

At the same time, if he's going to go the full Lukaku and score in bunches, then fail to net for weeks on end, we need another striker. Said striker either needs to push him for minutes or needs to play as a strike partner that he meshes with better than he does with Richarlison.

At that price I'd be tempted too. I like him and he's a very good player but I don't think he's clinical enough. If we had a quality striker lined up then I wouldn't be too concerned.

However if we were to do another Lukaku and not replace him then it would be a disaster

...his last one was actually fine. I’m just not keen on complicating an uncomplicated situation, especially as he’s a decent striker of the ball.

I’m not particularly asking for Sigurdsson to be taken off penalty duties, but DCL is actually impressive from what I’ve seen at international level.

But missed about 5/6 one on ones. I know all strikers miss, just let’s not make out he hasn’t had some good chances. Like last season after project restart. He should have easily got 4/5 goals in the last 9 and ended up with none.

The comments about selling DCL to the mancs shows the inferiority complex alot of blues have when it comes to the 6. These are supposed to be the teams we want to be competing with so why would we be providing them with our best players? And more so why would evertonians be giving these transfers their blessing?
