I love DCL but good grief, he does miss a sitter or two.

Good player. Not great player. Misses to many chances. Lacks close ball control. First touch mostly terrible. Won't get many chances playing against a Belgium etc in a World / European quarter final. Any Championship striker could score against a San Marino.

I don’t think he misses a large volume of chances, he just fluffs the odd sitter. It’s obviously VERY noticeable to us because we don’t make many chances so when he misses it can be the difference (against Burnley, for example).

As for the control argument - Definitely agree but then the same was true of Lukaku and he still rattled them in for us.

If we can get him the service he needs to score (and I’m sure miss occasionally) more, and he continues being a very good (not great) one-touch finisher with a plop first touch I’ll take that all day long.
