His ability to make a long ball shoot perfectly vertically up in the air off off his head, neatly giving himself enough time to recover to scrap it away from the disorientated defender as it comes down is like the signature smackdown move Everton have been waiting for ever since we lost Fellaini's chest.

Good to see him get a bit more involved outside their box, I hate this whole "He may only touch the ball once, but he'll score!" idea, I don't think that's been proven by any means and hope it's just a trendy media platitude that isn't really what the plan is. I don't think that's actually the kind of striker he is (he's both more and less than that), and I'm hoping it's not how Carlos sees it. The early flurry of goals was great this season and some were quality but I still don't feel there's ever been much of the genuine predatory 6 yard striker about any of his performances. He can improve, yeah, but I'd rather see him improve his interesting style of outfield havoc.
