Hard to know Joe. He would definitely have got a whack if hed ducked down but I suppose you have to be brave as a centre forward on the goal line. If he'd been hoofed in the face you can be sure no pen would have been given by those officials too.

Never thought I would say this but DCL is starting to win me over. There is a footballer in there. That run against the centerbacks which ended in a shot at goal was a great individual performance. He's also starting to pop up in the right places at right times. Little bit of luck and he would have been on the score sheet today.

DCL looks transformed as a player since he has had the benefit of a second striker with him, maybe we should chase another striker to play with him and not instead of him. It looks like Kean may take a bit of time to settle so maybe use Brands knowledge of the South American leagues to get someone 24-27yo in the summer.

Kean was the right signing at the wrong time.
You can't have 2-3 young forwards who are not prolific and expect them to do the business.
We should have signed a proven goal scorer in their prime for DCL to learn from.
Ibrahimovic on a 12-18 month deal on a free would have for me made alot of sense.

Two golden chances, one where Bernard has mugged his defender off with his wonderful touch and DCL only needs to put it ANYWHERE but at the keeper and its a goal, 4 yards out. Hell if he scuffs it he still scores...
The 1v1.... The keeper stayed on the line, could have gone further in, should be burying that.
Apart from that though, his general play, his attitude, his bullying and giving defenders a nightmare has improved dramatically. Real effort for the team.

He's an Evertonians wet dream - hustle and bustle and plucky.
Evertonians scoff at anyone who actually scores goals like Lukaku who would have bagged a brace today. Richarlison is another who gets abuse despite being our only real goal threat.
