about a 18 months before the pandemic i was thinking about getting a dog, i just bought my first home and i always wanted a pet. I was mainly looking at prices for labradors and german shepherds and occasionally looked at alaskan malamutes and huskies etc

ive always been hesitant about getting one because they are a huge responsibility to look after one and i worked which meant it would be left at home for a long period of time.

i noticed the prices ranged from around £500.00 - £1000.00 for KC registered puppies

anyway i didn't get one in the end

i kept an eye on the prices anyway during lockdown and now they are going for around £3500.00

as much as i would love to raise a young puppy i have been thinking for a while now that i would probably prefer to adopt than shop and give a good dog a good home. i've not done anything yet but that's my mindset at the moment anyway.
If your at work all day I wouldn't bother. Not fair on the dog . Get a cat they are less bother, my dog howls the house down when we just go the Asda .

This fella heads off to his new home tomorrow after almost 7 months with me.

He's come on leaps and bounds from his chaotic behaviour when he arrived.

Lucky new owners, he's a beauty. The biggest GSD I have seen at his age (18 months) - 75cm to the shoulder and 42kg. Still has more filling out to go.
