I agree with that but also Tom Davies!

I give the youngsters a free pass in the "effort and fight" discussion, because it goes without saying that they will all fight and give 100%. It's the senior players, the ones who the youngsters are supposed to be looking up to that concern me. Barely a milligram of inspiration or resilience between them.

Basically asking "Which players are arsed and do give a toss about Everton"

I'd say: Rooney, Baines, Pickford, Coleman, Niasse and most if not all the youth players are the ones trying their absolute hardest to get us out of this ATM, likes of Sandro, Vlasic etc probably not as much but they do at least seem arsed

Dogs of war! Ha ha, more like.

Besic, Coleman, Davies, Gueye, Beni,, Miralles and Kenny.

In other words who has a bit of bite to them and can put a tasty tackle in.

If / when we eventually end up one from Fat Sam, Pulis, MoN, Dyche, A.N. Other...or even Silva. Any Improvement in results will no doubt require increased mental and physical effort.
List the few you think might respond positively to the call to arms.

Any total in single figures beggers the question, wtf is he going to work with...and then what happens

I'll save you the trouble with the obvious.
None

But here’s the thing, Degs.

I said this to another fellow whom posed the same question the other day.

We will not know who is a latter day Dog of War until the new guvnor lets them off the leash.

Then we will see what they are made off.

The old Dogs of War?

This wasn’t a new group of players Joe had brought in.

They were the same group which had brought us to the very brink of relegation six months earlier and had started the 94/95 season even worse

They were playing in the same clueless, heartless and rudderless fashion as this lot are.

We were booing them off the pitch every home game then.....old time City came and whopped us 4-0

So keep the faith Bro......if 1994 is any guide, them Dogs are already in our kennel and just need to be fed a bit of red meat then starved fir a few days by the new man.

Then hear them growl and watch them snap at owt that moves on the pitch
