We could do this type of thing to get hold of a top class manager, but it wouldn’t work with players. Their egos are so big that they think they’re above Everton, and they’d no doubt down tools or at least take their foot off the gas.

We need a forward and a creative midfielder and wage cost doesn't come into it and certainly not short term contracts. We have to find the best players with the right character who want to roll their sleeves up that are available and want to come to the club.

Pointless saying we'll spend 250k a week if we are looking at players mildly better than what we've got already. We can't afford those wages long term so we shouldn't be going for it unless a miracle like Ronaldo wanted to get out and stay in England and even if he did Chelsea would probably get him.
