Unfortunately I feel his loyalty was tethered to Carlo and not Everton. Even though he was sidelined for numerous games I think he put enough of a showing to advertise himself to other prospective clubs that he's still got the finesse.

That's nothing to do with the mentality and desire of the club though. We brought in a top class manager, we backed him by bringing some of his players in. It's not the clubs fault that he has snaked off at the first possible opportunity.
