Saw my first ever league game there. 1.10.66 v Rochdale. A 4-0 win.Aldershot. Used to watch them as a teen back when they went bust. Been back to a few again last few seasons.
Same.My dad played for Marine in the Sixties
My daughter plays for them. She's only 13 but still, I need to show loyalty! lollolAh The Brewers. My local team. Though I'm not from here originally, so I have no love for thisgodforsaken, smelly dump of abrilliant little town
A friend knows him well,as you say a top man. It's a fantastic setup
Played most games away as they were laying a 3g pitch
Returned home for last 2 games and scored 18 goals!
Manager is a top man.
Chester is beautiful.I passed through Chester once, while travelling on the Dublin to Liverpool eurolines coach. It was about 3 am in the morning when i was passing through though.lol
Next time i'm over in the UK i must go and visit. I hear it's supposed to be a nice place. Kevin Ratcliffe of course managed Chester City as well.
I don't follow anyone in NI. My best mate is a Glens man. A FB friend in a classic car group is Linfield. I was mugged by Cliftonville fans as a teenager when they came down to play Rovers.Crusaders F.C. Come on The Crues! I also like to check in on West Hams' results because I like David Moyes.
I've often considered trying to support the rs just to get them relegated.... but I just couldn't bring myself to do it even for a second. This jinx i have works with any sport - rugby, cricket even Olympic curling. I only ever seem to back the loosers... and its not an underdog thing.I often wonder whether I'm cursed when it comes to following football.
As a kid, I've had soft spots for, Swindon Town, Nottingham Forest, AC Milan, 1860 Munich and Rangers (I'm counting them, since they're technically a different club now). Since then, they have all suffered huge set backs or long periods of stagnation.
I propose a pact for me and you. If anything ever happens to Everton, we both start supporting Liverpool. Our sacrifice would be for the greater good...
