Does anyone follow a second team?

Al Nasr FC in Dubai. - Quite good in the 80s, play in Blue, frustratingly bad now.

Wrexham - one of my mates in the RAF was/is a big Wrexham fan and I went to a few games with him in the early 90's. Quite fun seeing what's going on there now.

I actually follow Millwall quite a bit, since when we lived in London tickets were always available. I really like Forest Green for their ethos. And more generally, I will fully admit as an American that I'm kind of an FA junkie as I love all the lore/history of all the teams; it's always fun to read up about some 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th tier team that has been playing since like 1890--that doesn't happen in the USA.

I also follow Pumas UNAM based out of Mexico City.

Aldershot. Used to watch them as a teen back when they went bust. Been back to a few again last few seasons.
Saw my first ever league game there. 1.10.66 v Rochdale. A 4-0 win.
My second team is ....err..Everton plus I follow the fortunes of Bath City, Kingstonian, Hibernian and Queen of the South.

Crusaders F.C. Come on The Crues! I also like to check in on West Hams' results because I like David Moyes.
I don't follow anyone in NI. My best mate is a Glens man. A FB friend in a classic car group is Linfield. I was mugged by Cliftonville fans as a teenager when they came down to play Rovers.

Too divisive. Crues seem a decent club alright

I often wonder whether I'm cursed when it comes to following football.

As a kid, I've had soft spots for, Swindon Town, Nottingham Forest, AC Milan, 1860 Munich and Rangers (I'm counting them, since they're technically a different club now). Since then, they have all suffered huge set backs or long periods of stagnation.

I propose a pact for me and you. If anything ever happens to Everton, we both start supporting Liverpool. Our sacrifice would be for the greater good...
I've often considered trying to support the rs just to get them relegated.... but I just couldn't bring myself to do it even for a second. This jinx i have works with any sport - rugby, cricket even Olympic curling. I only ever seem to back the loosers... and its not an underdog thing.

Honest - I use the footmob app to follow these teams. Every time a goal is scored my phone either cheers or groans. Even my missus has noticed that there are far, far, far more groans than cheers.

I used to support Everton Ladies but their defeats are as predictable as the men's team so I rarely follow the results any more.

I generally want Celtic to win the Scottish league over Rangers but I wouldn't go as far as saying I support them

Forest Green are the only team I properly support besides Everton, but I generally keep an out for teams I've watched here/abroad, although with having a crack at the 92 pre-covid, that's turned into a lot now.

Been following Bochum in the BL since watching that this year, just to have some skin in the game, seem like a good bunch

Not really, well not in the men's game anyway.

I do have a preferred team in pretty much any league on earth though and may check out their results every once in a while but it never bothers me if they get beat etc. Clubs like Ayr United, Tennis Berlin, Grasshopper Zurich, KS Cracovia etc. More often than not they will never clash with anything Everton related either.
