I think we will.

I just don't think it's going to be the player we really need.

I am of course alluding to a pacey right winger. I'd eat my own testicles to get LD back here ffs.

I don't really want any of the players in the first post, I'll be honest, but I think we will.

I'd be amazed (shocked and sick to death) if we haven't brought in some kind of first team player, even if its only a loan. Loan's have always done us well. Gardner doesn't count.

Anthony Gardner was ace for us ffs lad.

We can't afford even wages for loan signings unless we can ship people out and this looks unlikely at the moment. I did read that the bank has reduced our overdraft facility by £5M - not a good sign - and this may have a bearing on our lack of activity. Not expecting anything before the transfer window closes, although it would be nice to get a wide player with pace and a decent striker. We seem to do well under adversity, though and I'm pretty optimistic for the season. Hope it lasts beyond August!!!

Nope. The papers are already rolling out the 'Everton are being financially prudent' line. Soon it will be 'we'll go with what we've got', followed by '<insert name here> returning from injury is as good as a new signing.'

Still, Bill's a good blue so we're in safe hands.
