No - work full time so can't give them the time they deserve. As a kid had ponies, donkeys, goats, , a dozen cats,dogs, pigeons, doves, rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies, canaries, zebra finches, cockatoos, parakeets, fish, pheasants, ducks , chickens and a cow.
Was like a zoo and I loved it. Wish sometimes I could just have one day back then with them all, loved the responsibility of looking after them and was busy from dawn till dusk.

I'd never heard of a zebra finch before this thread. I've always thought that's what's great about these threads, I'm always learning about new types of animals.

Ha ha! My family were living in Kirkby and my dad found this old wooden hoouse in the country with some oubuildings and some land - then we just kind of filled it with animals. Was a boss childhood, I mean ( without the filthy response) how many of you can milk a goat???

The roof often leaked so did feel like a boat! Was an absolute shed looking back but thought it was normal as knew no different - the animal sheds and haybarn was warmer than the house!
