On occasions certain footballers just don’t perform in their environment for various reasons. Look at Schniderlin for us. He arrives and looks a Rolls Royce player. Then the situation changes, whether it be poor performances from the club or something personal, his form drops away, amid rumours of dissent by him and Mirallas. Let’s face it, we never did get to the bottom of it. ( looking forward to Ferguson finally telling us all exactly what did happen though).

Of all the decent sized departures from us over the years only RooneyArteta gave value for money to the buyers.
We all knew they were both pure class acts who could perform at any level of the game.
Spending big money on the likes of Stones, Lukaku, Barcklay, Felli, Rodwell was pure folly. They all have gaping holes in their games which preclude them from being top Champions League class and any sane evertonian could have told them.
