Normally i'd agree but it being 'for the kids' doesn't justify cheapening the clubs history.

All the other retro stuff, those stupid hand clap things, the fan zone, sound. This ? No chance.

It's stupid yeah. But the whole thing was just to try and get the kids to know the history a bit more.
Many of the young kids won't know who dixie dean is, and this is the clubs way of trying to make it fun and interactive. It just didn't work out.

Could be great, this, maybe allow fans to make requests for players for him to do.

I'll go first - he can do Nick Barmby and [Poor language removed] to Anfield

JUST FINISHING THE Dixie Dean life story by John Keith hardback from a car boot what a story of the greatest player to ever grace Goodison - that video was so embarrassing -if anyone has not read the above book it is fantastic - what an unbelievable legend William Ralph Dean was to our club he only stood 5 - 10 inches high and was a player who could shoot with either foot and by all accounts the finest header of the ball ever - the is a lovely small picture of three great Everton no 9s Lawton -Young - and Dixie - an incredible player and gentleman.

This lad used to play for my old sunday league team early 90's. Knocked in 50 goals one season.

Last I seen him he was selling me a train ticket then I heard he was playing Dixie and has been in a few films and Corrie.

For info he is a kopite but not one of the bad ones.

The actor's name is Steve Hazelhurst.

He's been playing Dixie for the last 5 years in John Keith's play.

The play is very good and he does well in the role. Don't really see the problem - I'd rather we had him than this:

Stop only seeing colour ffs. I've been racially abused by you on here and I can see youre continuing it in other threads you utter cretin.

I was referring to the obvious fact that our greatest ever player was of mixed race, something we all should be proud of. Evertonians that is, I expect Luton Town have their own heroes.

I had a mate who told us one time he was going to smack foam Dixie when he got near (we were like 16 at the time). Sure enough, as foam dixie rounded the Main Stand to the Lower Gwladys, my mate took off down the steps to pitchside, went up to foam Dixie, raised his arm.....and.......bottled it and shook foam Dixie's hand.

foam Dixie was a joke, this guy is just doing something fun. It wasn't great, but it doesn't really matter.
