Diving has never been an Everton thing, other clubs it is a tactic, I just don't buy it myself. This is way the "we never get pens" debate for me isn't a issue, we don't get them unless the defense hands them to us, our players put scoring first not trying to cheat.

Carlin love the sentiment, sure in the past past Everton have not been a 'Diving club' but unfortunately it has crept in increasingly over the last few seasons it is sad to see and for me it was really painful to see on Saturday when Kev was booked as that triggered a sequence of events which resulted iin us losing the game provoking a lot of traffic on this site since.

Having watched that shower across the park diving and surrounding referees again last night just reinforced my belief that we need to be above this. Makes me sick.

Think as bad as this sounds, you just have to accept it. Players will dive to gain an advantage which is partly to do with them being competitive. Why do players dive? To help their team win? I've got to be honest I won't moan if we win a game through a player diving and winning a penalty. I don't like players diving but I can't see it changing, its sadly a part of the game now!
