Absolutely, Football is full of dinosoars and kids who think they are the [Poor language removed] bollocks.

Its all about image too and bling, what a load of crap.

All players should be made to not wear gloves, have their iPod's taken from them, and I wonder how many of these youngsters actually polish the boots of the senior players?

Surely boot cleaning went out with dark ages! not to mention inflating the ball.  The young primadonnas of tomorrow, Ghost you have to be kidding to think that they would go anywhere their hands might get dirty.

I know, I'm just saying that there is no respect in the game for the higher authority. Look at Carragher on Saturday, ignoring the ref, and kicking off cos he got booked. Then I watched the rugby players accepting their punishment without so much as a word.

Also, that try that was not given (rightly so), how good was the anticipation waiting, I thought it really stoked the tension in the game. I really don't see why we couldn't bring that sort of thing into football for stuff like penalties and questionable goals.

Anyone else besides me, when watching the match, have this feeling that the minute Gerrard got in the box, you knew he was gonna go down when he felt he couldn't get around Hibbert?

I wasn't surprised one bit when hit hit the floor.

If I was Hibbert, I would have given him the "Ricardo Clark" treatment while Gerrard was still on the ground.

I have to say I feared the worst when I saw it was Hibbert one-on-one with Gerrard; Hibbert was always going to dive in and Gerrard was always going to go down too easily. What struck me was the way Gerrard showed plenty of strength to hold Hibbert off for the time it took him to reach that little white line, and then suddenly collapsed.

Perhaps it can be classed 'what any player would do', but I think what's really annoyed people is Gerrard's eagerness to have Hibbert sent off, and the ref was weak on both counts.

Excellent stuff, managed to read that in one go, and that was after a nice bottle of pinot... Those researchers have hell of a job.

Gerrard is a bad, bad ted.

I dont blame him for going down, I just expected better from a scouse lad. And then to influence the ref to send off another scouse lad shows his character.

He's a bonafide 100% melt, make no mistake about that.
