Distin's future replacement?

it'll be one of Martinez biggest decisions.....for everything good about this season, our backline is Moyes made.....the only addition Martinez had made so far is alcaraz, who is crap...

always thought it was Wenger's problem at arsenal....he inherited a great backline, and was never really able to maintain its quality when those players moved on...
 

Coleman - right age
Stones - long term replacement for Jags
Lescott - to replace Distin? If we are skint cos he is free
Oviedo - long term replacement for Baines
 
What about Luke Garbutt?? Martinez saying he wants to bring the young guns through. He can play left back/midfield & central def. RM must rate him, as has been on bench past 2 months. got a run out on Saturday when Baines limped off.
 
not gonna happen but if possible id go with ashley williams.
2 years younger than alcaraz , can handle himself , has prem experience , good leader , strong , good tackler.
other than that i like the look of dejan lovren. again though , not gonna happen
 


Don`t see were Garbutt will fit in.At Left back, he is behind Baines and Oviedo in the pecking order, he will have to be some player to dislodge those 2.

the arsenal team that went unbeaten had a wenger built defence. hope martinez has that problem for us!
