You're a sensitive soul Dave.
He's had a go at Everton there. It's as plain as a pikestaff. There's no fair comment about it imo. He telegraphed he was keeping his powder dry to launch an attack. He said as much.

How that isn't factored into whether these comments are an insult or not I dont know. It couldn't be a more obvious insult.

Don't hold back dave.

Tell us what you think of the beaut.

Just shows you what Martinez was up against. Some beaut with a titty lip who took the cash and couldn't give a flying one about the club who pay him.

No wonder Roberto froze him out.

Lots of 'I told you so' tonight. All round.

Haven't got an opinion, what I do find so so sad though is the amount of "He's right all the clubs who want him are bigger clubs".

For those of us at a certain age, that may be currently true, but it's so hard to accept and swallow.

So many of our fan base think what we have now is great, because they grew up in the 90's when we were sh**.

For those that grew up in the 70's and 80's when we were one of the biggest clubs in the land and the likes of Man City and Chelsea we our bitches, it's hard to accept.

Things have clearly changed in recent years, and money has ruined the sport IMO.

It's just not a level playing field anymore is it?

The richer your Owner/Chairman is, the more successful you are.

Never used to be that way. When we were the best, everyone was on a similar financial footing, so when we were the best we were deservedly so.

These days, it's cheque book football and a hollow victory for those money clubs with filthy rich owners.

If anyone cares what Dustin has to say they need to take a wee look at themselves. I realise everyone has the right to speak however you have to earn the right to be listened to, he hasn't earned that right.

He didn't say that, he said 'big' not 'bigger'.

One is value-laden and an insult, the other value-neutral and not.

Big, bigger, biggest, bugger, it really makes no difference to me.

It's only an insult if you choose to be insulted by it.

I couldn't care less if an ex player says a current player could play for a big club. Or if we're a tiny teeny weeny club so small the LHC couldn't detect us.

Plus, chances are he wasn't saying it seriously but as an attempt to wind Everton fans up and make them fume. To which the best response is to do the opposite, not give him the reaction he's after.

Distin has always been a whopper. I couldn't care less what he has to say, as he's a total nobody in my eyes.

A stain of a man who felt important enough to tell the fans what they can and cannot do at a game. One of Martinez's finer moments as a manager was binning off the tool.
