Hi,

My name is Jack Edmondson, I am a third year Sports Marketing student at Leeds Beckett University. I am currently in the process of writing my dissertation in partnership with Everton Football Club.

Following a work placement during my second year at university, I have been given the opportunity to work alongside Everton Football Club whilst completing my dissertation. I am exploring whether Everton Football Club are satisfying your wants and needs with their Twitter Feed. My findings from this study will be passed directly on to Everton Football Club.

I don't do twitter any more, because i got bored of it. However, I wouldn't look at an official feed anyway since, from experience: 1 it's strangely slower at news than other outlets*, and 2 it's not objective and follows the sanitised and predictable club party line. I used to look at the club website religiously in its early days, but when it became apparent that the web was a popular way of engaging fans, it got bland, sanitised and full of adverts. Haven't looked (apart from now and then) in over 10 years - certainly not for news.

I expect most clubs would be like this though to be fair.

* probably because of the verbal laundry needed for part 2.

Sorry, it is to keep my sample tight, as part of my research I am specifically looking into those following Twitter, the rest of the questions would be irrelevant should you not follow them on twitter.

Done. Piece of advice though mate- you really should be including a 'Cheese on toast' option for at least 50% of those questions.

that does definitely comply with what evertonian fans would like to see on the twitter feed tbh.
