Differences between Everton and Spurs

Their managers get backed with money, just going back a few seasons:
2012/13, £61.5m
2013/14, £103.7m
2014/15, £28m
2015/16, £53.5m

Hmmm hmmm hmmm but where they get the money from ? Oh maybe they are doing good buisness by selling their top players for big money and then re-invest ? Maybe their are selling the players they don't need instead of waiting till their contract is run down and then let go for free ?

Especially the GK. That's the biggest difference.

Roberto has to be more ruthless in getting people out of the team when they simply are not up to it. He'll eventually pay the price if it isn't done.

Despite all the BS being spoken now by excitable people, he has the time to correct this. It's quite a simple task too.

It sounds too simple, but I think Roberto has to "grow a pair". Essentially he is a nice man and I think he respects the fact that Howard is popular in the dressing room and a big influence.

A line has to be drawn though. I think all managers if they want to move onto that next level have to show some ruthlessness. I think he's being badly let down by the players and hung out to dry a bit. Sooner or later I think he needs to make an example of one or two of them and show them continually repeating the same mistakes isn't good enough.

Our fans get on players backs after multiple backwards passes which are symptomatic of a general lack of ideas or tactics. I don't think spurs fans would be so understanding if they were 12th in the table and playing the utter crap we are
A lack of ideas or tactics which have brought us 40 goals so far. Our problems are generally nothing to do with when we have the ball.

Never ever thought I'd say this, but I want some of what Spurs have got, specifically a proper 'keeper who makes saves and that. They've scored one more goal than us and have 15 more points for goodness sake.

They are a PLC hence they get much greater income than us. They also have richer owners, as well as selling bale for 100 mill, modric for a lot, etc...

More corperate facilities, rich owner, Drive an excellent price for players and can get a way with charging extortionate ticket prices.

No secret how they make their money.

Their light years ahead of us off the pitch, but then again most clubs are...

Tottenham are boss, which is why they've rolled up at Goodison and shown Everton how to play football two years on the spin.

Baines and Coleman are far better than their full-backs, and I reckon Deulofeu would get a game on the right. The rest would have a hard time dislodging their opposite numbers.

I think to blame Stones for our woes is more than a bit misguided? The defence is struggling so badly because they have no confidence in the man behind them and they get no sheilding from the porous midfield in front of them! I seriosly think our midfield is one of our biggest problems. We play with effectively four across the park, but only Barry works? Barkley cannot be played central midfield unless he is prepared to move his fat arse and help out when we are under the cosh! if he cannot / will not do that duty he must be played in the no. 10 role, where his lack of tracking back is less damaging to the midfields coherence! When Mo went off yesterday, we effectively went down to one man working to protect the defence, and he is the oldest on the pitch!

IMO Stones is a major part of our recent problems - continually loses possession with misplaced forward passes which puts everyone on the back foot. Barkley on the other hand has turned in some very mature and influential performances of late, and seemingly always has two men to contend with.

Agree with you on Howard though.

Spurs are and always have been one of the media darlings, even going back to when we played them in the 1995 semi final, the media were desperate for them to win and built us up as massive underdogs like we were a lower league team despite the fact Spurs themselves were no better than mid table also rans back then

So being a London team and media darlings is the difference between us and them

Oh, and the small matter of ambition. They have some, we don't

Stones would walk into their team, that's why they bid for him last year supposedly

They also wanted Mirallas

And McCarthy

Besic is better than Mason or Dier all day long

Their side isn't as amazing as the media makes out, it's just a well oiled machine. Bit like Leicester in that regard

They are a good team sitting in the top 4 in an open season. People need to get a grip. It's Spurs...
