Yeah, unbelievable he didn't get picked for England.

I'm sure there was one week in the 80s where the entire first 11 were away on international duty apart from him!

I remember his first few games,he looked like Bambi on ice!!what a bargain and what a player he developed into,he was our third striker too at set pieces,"and we love our Degsy Mount"

.....it wasn't the fact that he scored goals, more that he scored crucial goals when most needed.

I remember him talking about penalties at Liverpool and saying there must be an 'Anfield worm' that trips their players up. He's a good lad who provided even better memories.

Loved this guy. Provided some unforgettable moments. The semi at Villa Park for example.
Blue through and through. Saw him being interviewed about his transfer from Tranmere; said he would have signed for us if the contract had meant he had to pay us every week instead of earning a wage.

Great player unbelievable in the oppositions box, only player to even come remotely close was Lescott. I was in The Winslow after the match a few years back and he was in there, I told my mate we should go over and have a chat with him. He didn't want to go at first because he said never meet your heroes they'll let you down. Anyway we went over and had a great chat with him and he told us he was jealous of us because he'd never been able to celebrate winning a league or European trophy as a fan rather than a player! When we finished I turned to my mate and he just looked at me and said what do I know, I was talking bollocks. Top player and a really great bloke.

Great find, enjoyed listening to that.
Much that I loved Waggy over his Everton career, I really didn't think he was good enough to displace Degsy. About the only thing I disagreed with Howard Kendall about (from my sofa).

Imagine Jags scoring a goal every 5.5 games. The guy was fantastic, must have been gutted when we brought Dave Watson in, he wasn't too shabby either like.
