Some good defensive performances. Thought keeper did very well. Slow off his line for 1 ball but was top otherwise and made some good saves look simple enough. He has a chance of taking number 1 spot if his performances keep improving

Think Ibe should go and pour a glass of his MOM champers for Martinez, playing a fullback who is not a regular starter and then playing no defensive cover in front of him = suicide. no disrespect to Brian he did a sound job in a 1 on 1 situation
The cover was Besic, Ibe's pace however neutralized it and it was the reason why Besic kicked out at him and ultimately why Besic was subbed off.

the confidence looks there now, that's two clean sheets in a row, if he kicks on that should be it for howard

3 clean sheets now mate, West Brom, Palace and the shyte. Jags and Stones getting a good understanding as well. Shame all of this has come bloody half a season too late. The Europa League Trophy will suffice for this year though ;)

Was that the Coleman header back? Joel was never making it and it was Coleman's to deal with all day long but this decision making of when to come is by far now his weakest area which causes this lack of trust between him and defenders especially Coleman (it wasnt the first time with seamus) however it is an area where he needs to improve. Although we should just let him and the coaches get it right and accept it as a weakness for now.

Well I believe they will work on that weakness and nail it. I am impressed with his collection of crosses now whereas that used to be his weakness when flapping and punching clear. His run of games has certainly given him a boost and he is less nervous and being more assertive. Hope it continues.

Ya it was the only major fault that match. Looks a bit unsure when to come or not. Still more game time could sort all that out

He does which even when he was right like in that instance there's still uncertainty. But in that instance had he come it would have given the Liverpool player time to get in front of coleman and poke the ball past the on rushing Robles - it was riskier to come than not. It was really up to Coleman to deal with it.
