Shocked people voted for naismith. Ball retention was p@@s poor. I would have taken him off earlier.
Besic for me with mention to 2 cbs. Stones is a special talent.

Naismith played well, gave Liverpool a problem in midfield, if we took him off early on it would of been a much easier game for Liverpool.

Only problem naismith was giving was to us for giving the ball away. He worked hard as usual but a serious lack of quality in the final third. Amazing how people see things different as nearly everyone sitting around me thought the same thing on sat. Thats football I suppose, never gonna agree on everything :)

Tough one with Naismith. I imagine he's a right pain in the arse to play against. But doesn't really add anything going forward quality wise. Unless we manage to create a chance for him. Then he usually slots. But there's a distinct lack of quality there. But the effort.

He's a curious case.

Well I believe they will work on that weakness and nail it. I am impressed with his collection of crosses now whereas that used to be his weakness when flapping and punching clear. His run of games has certainly given him a boost and he is less nervous and being more assertive. Hope it continues.
It will improve. I can see him being our long term No1.

We were talking about him at the match, his ears must have been burning. He is an ok back up striker, he's definitely not a playmaker.

How many teams in the Prem would be get into in that position? I think Burnley, Leicester, maybe Chelsea. We're never gonna push into the top 4 with him playing there. Need Barkley to get his confidence back so badly.

Either that or sign another 10 McCarthys and play them everywhere.

I know that Naismith and Barkley are different types of player, but they are fighting for a similar place on the team at present. However until Barkley starts to play deeper I don't think we will see the best of him.
I think a midfield trio of Barkley, Besic and McCarthy with Barkley driving forward is what I would like to see.
Naismith has six league goals from 18 involvements, Barkley has one from 15 involvements.
I don't think that bringing Barkley in for Naismith will improve anything , just reduce our goal threat.

We should just start calling these threads the "besic automatically gets MOTM because he is the fans favourite thread"

McCarthy all day

.....MCCarthy was outstanding. Stones is just a top young player, I thought his match-up against Sterliing could be pivotal and he handled him very well. Had Naismith gone off early I suspect there'd have been a result one way or the other, neither him or Besic did enough to be MoM.

someone doesn't like democracy, sorry mate but until you become the fascist dictator of GOT that you so obviously crave to be, i will critique threads as I like

GOD BLESS DEMOCRACY
