Hendry was honestly one of my all-time favourite players... I'm from Dundee and seeing him bossing our defence is one of my first footballing memories, aside from that cheeky Gazza lob in Euro '96, was an absolute rock at the heart of our national side's back 4 as well.

There's a lesson to be learnt here, but unfortunately, it'll go unheeded as long as the likes of Jordon, Cheryl Cole and Lady Gaga get much, much more media coverage and she won't be the last casualty in the hunt for artificially 'bettering' ourselves.
