That game against Chelsea when he scored,I swear he actually covered every blade of grass that day and to be honest I felt his game had come on leaps and bounds when we let him go,I was sad to see the Stracq depart.

He was like a hungry beast locked up in a cage in the dressing room and the players and staff would poke him with a stick and dangle a football in his face. Then when the time was right, the cage was opened and he would go wild....and go wild he would!

I've seen too many in my time who have lacked both the effort and ability unfortunately.

I would absolutely agree that modern day footballers like say Lukaku and Barkley who have tons of ability do not appear to put 100% effort in and it annoys the hell out of me.

I am sure there are examples from the 70's onwards when I first started supporting but , perhaps my memory is failing me in my dotage , they don't resonate.

You must have low expectations of an Everton player mate.

When I read your posts I am taken back to the match, I hear the idiots who boo at half time, I hear the halfwits shouting Your [Poor language removed] Howard in a quiet moment, or the awful 'fans' who boo a substitution.

They think they it shows how much they love the club, they think, they pay their money so they can do what they want and they can, but I hate them, they shame Everton and wish to god the would [Poor language removed] off!

Where did I say I was anything other than supportive of Denis.

I loved his effort , I was willinging him to do well but ultimately he wan't very good.

I didn't boo him - I have never booed anyone wearing an Everton shirt.
