Dempsey anyone?

after a decent enough january transfer window i got to thinking who we could get in the summer (wishing)
the name i keep seeing score and play consistently well in the premier league was clint dempsey at fulham and i thought that he may be the best replacement for when cahill finally succumbs to age and tiredness (some would say thats now)
of course i know there are issues still up front maybe (depepnding on how jelavic does) and in defence but a good creative goalscoring midfielder like dempsey would be a great purchase.

Alpha this did come up last week. We couldn't afford him and I doubt Fulham want him to go considering he's their top scorer. Not too mention that Clint has stated he wants Champions League football.
