A very talented player but not a leader and not a fighter.
He will do very well in a team that is playing well but not so well in a struggling team.
Andros Townsend offers more when you need a battler but Demarai Gray is a more talented player and will still be excellent for us whenever we get a functioning central midfield.

If someone offered ~17m for him this summer I'd take it, thank him for his time here and get someone like Brennan Johnson.
Yes this I agree with, we need to start managing our players as assets, sell them when they're hot because rarely are they actually good enough to stay at that level. Richarlison and Pickford would have been offloaded years ago by a smarter club.

We need to be starting both.

100% - bought by a manager to play on the counter with loads of space to run into. We’re not going to play to his strengths now and tbf he’s nowhere near good enough to build the teams style of football around. If we could get £15million plus…see ya

Hasn't looked the same since his injury. Seems to happen to loads of players though not just him. Look how much DCL & Doucoure have struggled since their issues this season as well..

The poor Leicester fan got absolutely hounded. Everything he said has come true.

Some apologies are needed

He's 25 and flattered to deceive since Leicester signed him as a teenager. The idea he was suddenly a world beater was a bit much.

His early form (and Arsenal goal) will keep us up so it was a great buy for 1.5 mill

Short memories a lot of you seem to have. Was by FAR out best player in the first half of the season.

He's absolutely sound, working his way back to full fitness. Still probably POTY for us, alongside maybe Pickford.
Not sure he suits the lampard style going forward. Maybe a counter attacking style suits him when he has space to run into.

In tight areas he’s not so good, makes poor decisions. Touch can run away from him. Was especially poor v Newcastle, I get he’s not fully match fit. But that doesn’t stop you making the right decisions, constantly trying to take on their whole team, when other players in better positions.

That's the one of craziest parts of this horrible stretch we are in. Gray is still our POTY by some margin in my opinion, and he's been somewhere between mediocre and dreadful for a while since he came back from that injury. He's clearly a streaky player but worth keeping around.
