He's minimised and mocked the effects of childhood sexual abuse in a way that could be deeply offensive and upsetting to survivors of such abuse, some of whom may well read this forum, but he didn't say "tits", "bum" or "fanny" so it's all good!

Maybe you’re right maybe you’re wrong, but people would rather support a liar then ostracise them once the lie comes to light, rather than ostracise because they don’t believe their statements and it turns out they were telling the truth.

Did I say it was good , people are going to have different opinions and the way they express it is going to possibly upset some people but we cant shut down debate because every sensitive issue we talk about is likely to upset someone but i don't think we should be automatically be looking to ban people.

Sorry but I find it incredibly infuriating that there’s people, or at least one shameful individual, could watch that interview and in anyway think Dele was faking it for attention. That same individual is likely a father/grandfather, how the hell can you do such a thing?

I’m on Team Dele. There is going to be a simultaneous comeback story for him and the club. Hand in hand to glory. He is exactly what we need.

We need to get behind him and stop slagging him off. If he had done something bad to someone then fair enough but he’s a young lad struggling with a big weight on his shoulders. I can’t understand why we aren’t all rooting for him.

The opinions of a minority on here who dismiss the experiences of a sexual abuse survivor are not simply 'upsetting' for me as a survivor, they retraumatise me.

Still just ignoring the point that Nitrous oxide won’t show up in drugs tests, is legal, and that there’s zero evidence or suggestion Dele has ever done anything more than that, in regard to the fact that you keep mentioning cocaine.

I'd rather not have to close this thread for a spell, which I'm close to because it's becoming embarrassing for the site - so If the one or two members could reflect and promptly move away from victim blaming.

Sure there's a line but I always think it's best to educate rather than condemn - as a community we've been pretty good at that over the years.
