I'm not sure anyone thinks that. However, he'd be ideal for the role doucoure is currently playing. If he can his mind back on football and his recovery goes to plan, he'd be the best midfielder we'd have on a technical level.

It would be nice to have a player that is more technically gifted play that role. In some games everything stops when doucoure touches the ball.

I don't think he'll ever get back to the levels of his early spurs days, but to have an attacking midfielder that isn't just a battering ram is a tool we really need whether it's dele or someone else.
That's exactly where he needs to fit in.

A fit and happy Dele is the 2nd name on the teamsheet. (Beto is first, obvs. Absolutely dominated Doncaster)

It's a big ask but after the past few years we've suffered it's the kind of comeback story I'd like to cling onto.

Put it this way, it looks like we're getting actual money for Iwobi who averages a paltry 1.5 goals a season. Would you rather keep Iwobi and let him walk away on a free (which he 100% would do) or gamble half of the Iwobi money on a fit Dele?

I'm not much of a gambler, but it's a no brainer.

Dele has slowed-up and aged way before his time. His last few games for Spurs were pitiful. 5 Spurs managers
passed on him and somehow Honest Bill Kenright and Frank thought they could perform a miracle and get a tune
out of this bloke.

Gbamin transfer's was bad but there was hope that he would get fit: there was no hope that this lazy playboy
would ever contribute more than a photo shoot in the Sun with some slapper.

No, Dele faced a mental breakdown because he was sexually (and otherwise) abused as a child and put into the limelight often cast as the bad guy by the media from the age of about 17.

This isn’t like when Rooney came back and his body was spent, this is someone who faced mental trauma and is still young enough to be an athlete at the highest level if he can work on himself with the team of professionals he no doubt has around him 24/7.

You have to wonder where some people exist. The lad has admitted he was stoned on prescription sleeping tablets that is common within professional football and then buying more to manage his poor mental health. 2023 if people don't see Mental health as important component to a life might as well not engage it's a an issue where some choose to be ignorant.

If you think this is a bad take, he has superb form.

In a forum jam packed with hot takes, this is right up there.

I'll bet you have talksport on speed dial.

Its all romantic dreams , fingers crossed

He can still be something of a quality player if he is managed the right way.

He's been through a tough time dealing with personal problems which obviously affected other areas of his life. He just needs Dyche to put an arm around him and say "Look, you've put it out there now, the club has been getting you the help you need to move on from it, lets focus on getting you match fit and get you to rediscover you're love for the game again." Once he's focussed mentally the performances on the pitch will improve naturally when he gets back out there for us.
