Just under 3 weeks until we have to register our squad for the season, no friendlies left, how the hell are we gonna make a decision on whether he’s capable of playing Premier League football in that time?
He's not been signed though has he? So can play a part against Roma and that's it
He has to have a trial by fire against Roma otherwise what's the point? only a 10/10 performance can change my mind at this point.
He won't be playing tomorrow if he's only resumed full training today

If he is fit and wants to play, he could be a great squad addition. He should have the fight in him and the knows how much support Everton gave him.

Don't see how we can offer him a contract when he hasn't played during pre season.

So a bit more time to evaluate him in training- obviously the decision will need to be made off incomplete information but then that’s true of all transfers I guess.

But we can have him train and play behind closed doors to see if he’s worth one further down the line

I think we need to register our squad pretty soon after the window closes. I know he is a free agent, but I'm not sure we have much more than a month to make a decision.
I feel like it's unlikely we offer a contract, with him missing most of pre season.
