As it stands Spurs aren't going to see one penny for Dele. Even if Dyche is of a mind to give him a chance in pre-season the club just aren't going to let him play enough to trigger the first payment- he'll see out his contract and leave us and Spurs will get nothing. I've no idea what a renegotiated structure would be (us writing off some potential add-ons for Richy?) but Spurs have nothing to lose.
Levy strikes me as the sort who would burn money before giving it to someone else. He would rather get nothing for him and Ali be a failure, than get a small amount on the off chance he comes good. Thats why the deal was negotiated the way it was to begin with.
With the admittedly extreme outside chance he has in turning it round and making a success of it here, Levy already has a financial windfall to gain if it works out. If it doesnt, and we release him for nothing, he will see that as a victory as well.
He is someone who will cut off his nose to spite his face, and i dont see him making a deal, just in case it does work out, even though they have clearly already moved on.
