2022/23 Dele Alli

I am not a fan of trying to rehabilitate and save every players career. 99 percent of the time it just doesn’t pan out well. It’s one thing for low risk low wage guys but the Dele Ali’s of the world are on 100k too much. It’s a million times worse when they don’t even put the effort in and reward your faith. If they tried and failed- so be it

He's had managers call him out, big him up, put an arm around him and it's made no difference. The only person who can resurrect Dele's career is Dele and he just doesn't seem to cares about football anymore.

In a year or so, he will be an unemployable, thick, but rich young man. With 50 unfulfilled years stretching ahead of him. Maybe he has a business acumen that he can trade on, but "football star" aside, I doubt it. It is a sad state of affairs from the promise he displayed not too many years ago.

Will prob do some reality TV shows, he will be able to live off his 'fame' for quite a bit...

The common theme with those who have been managing him in recent seasons is his lack of application in training. Until the player sorts that he will never be a top player again.

Fairly sure if any of us rock up to work not showing any interest in doing our job properly our contract would be terminated. What is it that's special about footballers?

It’s nice that EiTC also appears to extend to the playing staff as well at the club. We may as well be called ‘Last chance saloon fc’

To be fair though Roydo, take out the word ’rich’ (and in my case ‘young’) and you could be talking about most of us on here
