Some people have just got it in for him. He tried to make things happen, he isn’t a defensive midfielder and yes at times people go past him too easily, but it’s not like he’s just milling round uninterested. I don’t know if we’ll ever get much out of him but he did well tonight.

Reminded me of a young Rivaldo out there today.
He offers little when we’re out of possession but when we’re on the ball he’s constantly showing for a pass, moving into good spaces, playing quick one twos, driving us forward when he’s in possession and looking for a through ball.
I can see why he’s not getting much game time because he’s not a workhorse and we’re in a relegation battle but he definitely has that quality to create that most of our team is lacking.

Start Rondon against Liverpool and only use Alli in the second half if we are somehow level or just a goal down. He was ok last night, but he's hardly going to trouble the Liverpool defence.

Yeah I think we have to go with Richarlison and Gordon on the flanks against Liverpool. They have to work up and down all night to keep their fullbacks penned in. I fear Gray will just let Alexander Arnold run off him and it will be Jota at the back post before we realise it.
Was surprised how deep he was, not what i expected but what we needed at that point in the game, someone to get on the ball in midfield and look for a pass.
