All I’ll say is in the last season our best player was someone we got for nothing, had a “fall from grace” and “wasn’t arsed”. This season our best player has been a player who we got for nothing, had a fall from grace and wasn’t up to the level anymore.
James was fantastic for us and he was apparently finished, same with Gray now. It’s almost pointless trying to judge a player before he’s kicked a ball for us. The manager specifically wanted him, that says enough. If he turns out awful, we’ve spent £10m on far worse.
