3 key signings bought end of Aug instead of 1st July. Let's say they're on £30k/week average. So 3 x 30 x 8 = £720k saved.

Doesn't make sense to me. We're going to have to pay through the nose for desperation signings anyway. :(

We have cocked up, unlikely to sign any decent players. I think it is down to the fact we have too little money to offer.

We also have the utter nonsensical [Poor language removed] that our valauation does not meet with the selling club's valuation and so no players. That is why the likes of 'Appy 'Arry are able to step in.

I think its more a case of the time required to get the finances together. It seems we have to cap in hand to the banks/Green/Earl/Grantchester...and we all know how tight that lot are. By the time we have it in place the end of the window is invariably upon us and its total panic stations....Its just SO [Poor language removed]!!!

We won't break the bank this year now or in the winter window. Next summer will be the big one with the Lescott money. I expect two impact players then.

I still expect some new faces however not the premium ones we all hope for. I can't see a marquee name on the board. Elm is being courted by up to five clubs at the moment I can't see us out bidding some of the heavy weights he has been connected with but who knows.
