The MAIN problem is we are in a relegation battle meaning until we are safe, Sandro, klaassen, davies, beni and even garbutt/lookman are unlikely to get many chances. Not until we are safe anyway.

Sam relies on his big players who for the most part are crap - Morgan, Williams, bolasie not fit.

We also have too many midfielders who play in the same sort of space.

It is a vicious circle and we don’t have a manager brave enough to try something different.

Against Leicester I’d like to see us start with

Pick
Kenny holgate Keane garbutt
Beni gana
Walcott sig Sandro/lookman
Tosun

Klaassen beni davies all on the bench highlights how many midfielders we have BUT klaassen should be given a go as an attacking midfielder

Martina and snides in the bin.

I just want some passion and excitement back in our team.

Just checked, the majority of his time at Ajax he played attacking mid

i thought he played in the 10 role, thats why it was mad buying him when Sigurdsson was our primary target

i dont really rate him to be honest, looked too lightweight and if im honest a bit scared for the prem.

should have given him a run at his natural position in the europa tbh

btw how bads our scouting department? surely they should be able to see whether a player is suited to the prem not just how good/bad they are in their own league

Even more than that he was their lynchpin number 10 who dragged his team to the Europa Cup final.
His inability to pass or even kick kick a ball properly is bizarre. I've Idea what Koeman did to the lad but it's stripped him of all confidence. I'm actually concerned about him in a Lennon sort of a way.

If he's still here in February and we get to 40 points before the end of the season, we may as well try him alongside Gueye in midfield, similar to how Rooney was used when FS came in.

I hope he comes good, but right now throwing him into an under performing team lacking in confidence could be a catastrophe. His early season performances were so off the pace it was a concern and Koeman ultimately dropped him, since then two other managers have been in place and nether have fancied him.

We need to see if anything will happen in this window for him. If he is still here on Feb 1st I would expect Sam will try to get him involved in the team at some stages, for no reason other than keeping his value up and reminding clubs that he is a premiership footballer.
