I doubt Big Sam will sit idly by while we sell our star player and replace him with some sleever from Spain.

Steve Walsh wont be sunning himself in Italy on Sams time, I tell ya that.

But I still maintain, we havent signed a single bad player in the last 18months, sure we have overpaid slightly with a few, but hey ho, its only some "goffer in a crombie" money.

I agree with that in the main, but Martina is pushing it a bit!

It hasn't exactly been a flying start to his Everton career. But the past few months have been very chaotic for this club. That lack of stability hardly helped the lad settle in.But things have settled down now under Big Sam.I have quite a few new years wishes.Davy Klassen proving the critics wrong, and emerging as a serious player for us, is one of them.It took Barry Horne and Paul Rideout, a bit of time to get going for Everton as well.He hasn't really made an impact for us yet.But it's still too soon to write him off.

Martina, Bolasie, Klaassen, Schneiderlin, Williams - all duds....about £90M worth of them. And players like Keane, Sigurdsson and Ramirez haven't exactly excelled either.

The cash that Dutchman wasted was horrific.

Bolasie has been injured for the past year.Schneiderlin was decent last season.Williams form has greatly improved these past few weeks.Good god man Martinez bought in rubbish as well!Look Koeman was a failure of an Everton manager. The same way Martinez was a failure as well in my book.Poor Ronald the only other thing he did wrong (along with failing at Everton) was having the audacity, to be Martinez's successor.lol

Loads were of the opinion before he arrived that he was clueless in the games against good opposition in Europe and identified his lack of pace.

The manager of the day didn't though and he proceeded to give his old club £24M on Everton's behalf. £24M.

£24M.

That would have been me :o

Pickford and Keane were on the cusp of England recognition so quite attractive targets. The u21 players I think Walsh had a mandate to bring them in.

The rest, are thanks to Koeman.

I'm hopeful an Italian team will come in for Klaassen...think it will be a loan in Jan to buy in summer...15mil.

Will say Sigurdsson at least looks to have settled in and will show he was a good buy (albeit at an inflated price), 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 6 games, and starting to look like the player he did last season in terms of fitness and how intelligent his play is.

Bolasie - gets a pass on being a bust, purely because you can't legislate for blowing a knee out and then having a keystone cops everton physio examining the wrong bloody knee.

Martina - stopgap - but yeah he's a waste of money on a free really

Sandro - not looking good, but will still represent a good piece of business as we'd make money on him even if he never plays again for us mate

Williams and Schneiderlin - thought both where very good buys - and not massively inflated fee wise, but both have struggled massively this season especially.

As for Keane - he will come good under BFS, he was arguably the one most effected by the constant changing in the defence and the falling apart of Williams and Jagielka, build back his confidence and get him into a relatively settled back four or five and he will ultimately show his prior form and IMO anyway will improve over the next two years a lot.

Money was wasted for sure, but the reality is you have to really spunk it away on utter garbage and we didn't, most of what was spent would be recouped in reality Dave if we needed to do so.

sandro and him have been no worse than the rest of the squad so why do they get weirdly omitted from the squad ?

how do you even justify starting schneiderlin over him lmao

True this, even thought the summer buys have flopped I never looked at them as having poor attitudes, unlike Schneiderlin who dosent seem to care

I would like to, for once, see us play with a more attacking lineup where we have the majority of possession, and with Klassen in, and see what that looks like. If not this week, it will never happen. If you cant play a more attacking lineup with the worst team in the league, at home, you never will.

Does Klaassen actually get in our most "attacking" line up given that he's terrified to play a forward pass and just wants to get rid of it to the nearest team mate as soon as it comes to him?

Disagree. They have looked worse. Way worse. Even than Schneiderlin who hopefully has sorted his head out now.

Klaasen especially has looked bad. Really bad.

It's so blind to just judge everything on what you see on the pitch only. We are now on our 3rd manager seeing them day in day out and still not picking them.

Agreed. We should inform teams that it’s our week to play attacking football and that they have to let us have all the possession.

Klaassen will then score six goals and we will all have to eat humble pie as he will have shown himself to be the greatest footballer ever.

Well, not even in the squad so pretty nailed on to go out on loan in January or even permanent if a decent fee can be agreed.

Shame, was really hopeful he could adjust to the premier league, but as we have a plethora of players all vying for the same position his place in the squad is looking really doubtful going forward.
