2017/18 Davy Klaassen

I thought he was very impressive last night. It's been an awful 5 months for him, going from captaining he hometown club to the Europa league final, to being demoted to play with a bunch of kids in a Europa League dead rubber.

What I noticed from him, was he approached the game with the same degree of intensity. Slammed into 50/50's and his application remained good. That says a lot about him for me. Whether he is good enough for Everton, or can adapt to the English game is still open to question, but you learn a lot about players in games like last night and it's clear Klaassen is a good egg and will be a good signing for someone.

It's funny the contrast to Mirallas, who at times was head and shoulders above his opponents and went past them with ease but tends to regularly go missing in tougher games. That also tells you a lot about is personality.

I think for Klaassen he was just thrown in much too quickly. Davies should have started the season and he should have been eased in.

Some of you in no way watch that game yesterday. He was playing more as an 8 and played really, really well. His first touch, as usual, just does not let him down. And he tackled plenty of times and definitely had no lack of phyisicality. He's never going to be a bruiser, but he's not THAT soft.

A good 2 thirds of this forum wouldnt know talent if it slapped em in the face.

Most still comically think hes a number 10.

lollollol

Loads were of the opinion before he arrived that he was clueless in the games against good opposition in Europe and identified his lack of pace.

The manager of the day didn't though and he proceeded to give his old club £24M on Everton's behalf. £24M.

£24M.

Koeman doesnt sign the players Dave.

Ha Ha Ha. Yeah.

Well he defo doesn't now, thank goodness.

He'd have killed this club with another transfer window.

I doubt Big Sam will sit idly by while we sell our star player and replace him with some sleever from Spain.

Steve Walsh wont be sunning himself in Italy on Sams time, I tell ya that.

But I still maintain, we havent signed a single bad player in the last 18months, sure we have overpaid slightly with a few, but hey ho, its only some "goffer in a crombie" money.

Big Sam needs to clear out at least six players!

Martina, Bolasie, Klaassen, Schneiderlin, Williams - all duds....about £90M worth of them. And players like Keane, Sigurdsson and Ramirez haven't exactly excelled either.

The cash that Dutchman wasted was horrific.
