He was poor in the final last year against good opposition

It’s not hard to excel in the Dutch league. Apart from Ajax and PSV most sides are league one/lower championship quality

Safe to say we won't be seeing him again for a few months at least, him and Vlasic. Players like them are made the fall-guys whilst useless like Rooney, Williams and Baines will be back in the starting XI at the weekend.

I like the guy and there’s no question he can play but he looks lost and lacking confidence. Don’t think it’s been an easy transition from the Dutch league to the premiership for him. I’d be very surprised if he didn’t come good at some point this season though.

Disagree strongly frànd. Look at the state of the capitulation once he was subbed. He plays with a brain, shame he's just shot for confidence.

We scored after he went off Tim.

Look usually I quite like your stuff but here you are just being a scrotum

Admire your optimism. I see literally nothing to suggest that's happening anytime soon. It's not like we're a good team who can afford to carry him for five games as he finds his feet. If he's offering what he did tonight then there is no way he can play.

I just say what I see. He pressed well tonight. I think he at least has a method to his play. He's not playing well obviously and I don't think he's good enough for Everton. But the scapegoating is frustrating me. Rooney and Davies were significantly worse and I feel sorry for a lad who I saw giving the bare minimum of his best efforts, and being humiliated out there, whilst others are given preferential treatment as they are local, or in Williams case, seemingly too experienced and strong minded to hook.

That's the Wayne Rooney who played a big long pass for our only goal?

Better than the Klaassen who did absolutely nothing the whole time he was on?

He's being scapegoated because he has done absolutely nothing. Zero. Barely even tries.

I'd sell him tomorrow but there's a dozen others too. That's all I'm saying mate. Too many players seem untouchable regardless of performance and yes I think Wayne was frankly abysmal. He played a simple pass, the goal was all about Sandra's finish tbh.

I'm as down as I've ever been about us at the minute, there's not much more I can say. Not much signs of any fight or bravery from any players out there.

Genuinely the worst player I've ever seen in Blue. Don't care about your Kroldrup's and Nyarko's, £25m and cannot complete a pass or get himself about the pitch. I'd cut our losses and accept whatever we can as soon as possible. He will go down as one of the worst signings in our history.

Absolutely atrocious, without a hint of ever getting better.
