Wasn´t overly impressed today to be honest. Expected a bit more than the occasional one touch give and go. It´s all nice and good but he needs to contribute significantly more.

Think he will come good, will need time to adjust though to the speed and tempo of the premier league. Very good first touch, pass and go player who provides good link up. Would do better in a Martinez type team, will come good I'm sure, wholehearted with good work rate, we must be patient with him.

I'll give him time to find his feet, but early conclusions have to be that the virtues he's been bestowed with are actual weaknesses in this league: he gets shut as soon as he gets it - might be what they want at Ajax but if you want to make a mark in this league you have to show more than that and maybe he just doesn't have the skillset?

Looking at this moment like another £25M has been flushed down the toilet to go with the Bolassie cash.

Don't forget the Williams £12M as well.
