Basically limping through to january without getting into the relegation spots and getting much needed new players is about all I'm realistically hoping for whether its unsy or someone else. This squad is awful.
Exactly, and that has been VERY important.
To be fair to him, he has at the very least made that gang of crap look like they actually care now.
Really strange again today.
Started with two wingers away at Palace. Madness.
They play direct football to their front two so you'd think we'd look to have an extra body in the middle of the pitch who is snappy and can put a foot in. I.e. Davies.
Half time comes and he goes 4-4-2. Davies and Gueye in the middle, flogged after 10 mins of the second half. As the game became stretched, you could see Davies was knackered, seen in his decision making on the ball.
We played Kenny yet he didn't step foot over the half way line until the last minute cross for Ramirez.
It's just all very strange from Unsworth. I maintain that he's trying to make big statements in his team selection "we are everton, you're just Leicester / Palace so I'm going to play a team to take the game to you and there's nothing you can do about it".
So so naive.
Lovely chap, perhaps will make a fantastic manager but he's failed the interview imo.
It can't be Unsworth.
Hopefully he can be the next manager's number 2 then let's see next time.
If we put his games into points his record in the last 5 games is 4 points from a possible 15. That we be around 30 points for the season and relegated, if you used that as a bench mark over 38 games. He's out of his depth. We need an experienced manager. Shouldve been done 2 weeks ago, the board are now playing with fire. We're in this position because Koeman turned our squad into the worst and most unbalanced in the league.
But Unsworth has proved himself to be a miracle worker. He's proved me wrong.
His record in these five matches speaks for itself.
Yep. It's poor right now, but it's not wasted. We managed to get a few points and the players by and large are proving they are up for it.One thing that could be a big plus about him doing the temp thing for a period before hopefully soon we bring in a new permanent manager, certain players have stood out like a sore thumb and presuming a new manager will have noted which ones cba playing for Koeman and couldn't be arsed playing for a caretaker as well
Schneiderlin a big example there
Absolutely. The effort is definitely there.Yep. It's poor right now, but it's not wasted. We managed to get a few points and the players by and large are proving they are up for it.
Silva can hopefully give a boost and then January's window will be crucial.
I would expect a few percent improvement when Silva comes in, but it's going to need more players in to transform this.Absolutely. The effort is definitely there.
We just aren't capable of creating an attack.
Silva needs to focus on the shape of the team because currently it's purely endeavour that's keeping us above the drop zone.
At first I thought it was purely the striker issue mate but today proved that we just aren't being guided by management.I would expect a few percent improvement when Silva comes in, but it's going to need more players in to transform this.
Koeman has decimated this club. He's been an utter disaster.
