David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Unsworth is NOT the man for this current situation. He's no experience at this level. I didn't even want him as stop-gap.

I found it totally weird he started off with two pacy wide players yesterday then hooked BOTH of them at half-time.

A sign he lacks confidence in his own judgement by ripping up what he thought would work within 45 mins?

No way should he be remotely be considered for the roll full time. I keep hearing that 'he's a blue' and 'gets the club' and 'won Prem 2 last season'. None of these reasons are good enough to give him the gig.

I'm not having a go at Unsworth as he's bravely took a difficult job but we've certainly not had the new manager effect that even a caretaker can get. Results and performances are just as bad as when RK was in charge.

This joke of a 'board' we've got, which I've zero confidence in, need to get their fingers out their a**es pronto and get someone appointed quick before this dire situation gets even worse.

What are our choices at RB? Martina or Kenny? Pick your poison... Kenny is a good prospect for the future, but his defending isn't good enough right now.

Kenny is not ready, but Cuco Martina has never been ready in his entire career and will never be, I'd much rather stick with a raw youngster that can only improve than put in that godawful abomination of a player ever again.

We are in big big trouble - we do not even know where our next goal is coming from never mind the next point. We are starting to play the teams around us, and I can not see how we can get anything from the games.

We need to get to Jan 2018 so we can buy the players we need.

As much as I do not like Big SAM, we need him to steady the ship and get us to stay in the league - then in the summer look at the manager we want. Give Big SAM the job until the end of the season.

Big SAM knows how to keep teams up.

Unsworth is not the answer as we will not stay up if he stays in charge.

Rooney needs to be removed from the team - when he plays we play slowly. When he played for Man Utd in the last few years, the Man Utd fans did not want him to play as he took the pace out of the team.

The biggest problem for me in giving Rhino the job is the board will own him and not give him the required money for players ... at least a new external manager will not come without promise of funds .. Everton that !

He can only pick from the players he's got, but opting to play a high line with that back four - against Leicester, of all teams - was suicidal. It didn't help that the players seemed unable to follow the plan (Mirallas kept drifting inside, for example, and hitting long balls to DCL up against Maguire and Morgan cannot have been part of anyone's thinking). It smacked of desperation - tell the players to play "the Everton way", then hope for the best.

I think your defence of Rhino's bulk is admirable but I have to take issue withe general comment re not caring what our managers look like. Personally, after Ronker and Moyes, I wouldnt want another ginger. For me that would rule Dyche out.
I thought his voice would be more off-putting. My brother once said he'd hate to play for Burnley because of the prospect of having to listen to Dyche growling at you.

Also Koeman was strawberry blond, not ginger.

Certainly I think your brother was right. The voice is bad too. Overall, Dyche would be quite an assault on the senses.

But Koeman = Strawberry blonde?

Everyone was calling for him to play two wingers and one holding midfielder.

Maybe he saw in those 45 mins what Koeman knew all along. That our defence needs both protection and can't play a high line. Koeman may have ruined us but he's not stupid either.

Unsworth needs a bit of time to try a few formations first.

Lyon away then Watford home should be his last games. New manager should be in place during the international break ahead of a big game away ay Palace!
