If they gave me the job, I would :

Sack Steve Walsh
Sell or give away the following players :

Williams
Mirallas
Lennon
Niasse
Rooney
Martina
McCarthy
Mori

Then I would buy :

1 LB
2 CBs
1 CM
1 Winger
3 Strikers

Then we could maybe compete.

2 players out injured MG, 4 if you want to add spaghetti legs McCarthy and Funes Mori ( still not sure if hes a togger player ) into the equation so we aint got half a team out

He's the current ( stand in ) manager of Everton Football Club and when we see disjointed performances it's part and parcel of the game that he'll get pelters and he will understand that.

I'm not just having a go at Unsworth here but this constant subs needed at half time or changing it at half time tells us all that we are absolutely screwed and there's so much wrong with us as things stand

I just like to give people excuses mate, its in my nature.

We have Yala, Keane, Coleman, Barks, Mori, Vlasic, McCarthy injured, then theres Besic, Sandro, Klaassen who have just been punted somewhere.

Im not saying they should all be playing, but certainly for me Keane, Yala, Barks, Coleman and Vlasic should be.

I dont want Unsworth to be given the job, I like the fella but if he was any further out of his depth he would have to go to training in a submarine, but for me hes not the problem, hell for me Koeman wasnt the problem, the problem happened on 1st September when the window closed with our squad in its current state, for me thats not Unsworths fault, nor is it Koemans.

Should we put up the relegation bunting, friendo?

Oh God yes.

We wont win more than 2 games this calender year, vault me.

I think Vlasic is carrying a knock...
Agree over Niassie simply as he is one who knows where the back of the net is, Sigurdson doesn't deserve a starting place as he has been woeful since joining us.
As for Unsworth today a bit lost on what else he could do, and for me he was brave and decisive. We have to look at reality here he has had 6 days at the helm with 2 games crammed in( both tough ones as well), he will have had little time on the training ground so he has to put out what he thinks is a good starting 11 then change early if not working... Very difficult for him to gauge his best 11.
Any manager coming into the shambles RK left would have the same problems, it will take time for things to settle.
I think for me I would get the defence to sit deeper so little or no ground behind us, we look so exposed when balls knocked through. We need to be difficult to beat as a starter, then build from there.
As mentioned no quick fix her don't matter who is in charge....
To play football manager here mate.

Play holgate over one of the other two as he is more mobile and therefore can cut across quicker. Sit deeper and cut out the counter attack from Leicester which would have nullified their attack. Use lewen (or preferably niasse) to play long balls to to beat them at their own game and put their defence on the back foot.

Then second half use lookman and vlasic (who's sister says he was fit ) to counter them with pace and directness eith lewen stretching the defence out of position which would in turn open up space for Rooney to come in from deep and have scoring opportunities.

That's off the top of my head. Either that or 10 men behind the ball and grind a 0-0 to prevent another defeat and something to build on.

Siggurdson has created the most chances for us this season, so he isn't woeful, just not given a proper position to play in.

And he should know the best 11 because he is internal to the club so knows these players a lot better than any external man right now. No excuse to say he doesn't know the team or who is his best 11. Him wanting to learn the squad when we are losing every week nearly is incredibly silly to do.

And this isn't just negative towards unsworth but he is in charge so should warrant the same critique as anyone else leading the team right now. Fact is, as much as it isn't his fault at all, he got things very wrong today .

I don't even class Barkley as an option anymore MG as gutting as that sounds.

I like Unsworth I really do, I've always took a very keen interest in the u23's and was really hoping we would hit the ground running. He's going to have to won the next 2 wins convincingly imo to get the job from here on in

Worrying times. Dunno where the next win is coming from.

Think if Unsworth even won the next few games mate, he shouldn't get the job.

He doesnt have a chance from today onwards mate, his application was binned when Kenny keystoned it in the net.

We will appoint a manager during the International break and his first name wont be David.

The substitutions today were bizarre, not sure what the hell he was thinking. I realise the guy is under pressure but if this is how it is going to be he is much better sticking with the U23 squad and we bring in a more experienced manager (and please not Big Sam)

Probably mate, was clinging onto some kind of bounce from the players but ain't happening is it

We need someone out on the pitch to start kicking some arse big style, problem is, we've got no one out there to do it mate, Jags or Williams as the senior players should be doing it (was going to say Baines as well, but for some reason I started laughing) the pair of them don't want to know though.
